"I grew up watching the world reduce Kazakhstan to a punchline. Beyond Steppe started as my answer to that. It's since grown into something bigger: small-group journeys across Central Asia and Europe, still built the same honest way."

Before You Apply

How many people are in a group?
Never more than ten. Often fewer. Some departures run with as few as four guests.
Do I need to have traveled somewhere like this before?
No. Every trip is built to work for first-timers, we just ask that you're comfortable with roads, weather, and plans that bend.
Is it safe to travel to these countries?
Yes. Dinara and a local team are with you throughout, and every route is one we've personally traveled before we ever bring a group.
What's actually included?
Accommodation, ground transport, most meals, and Dinara or a trusted local guide with you for the whole trip. Full details are on the Tours page.
